Recognition and entry of international professionals
Whether recognition is required and which residence permit applies depends on the occupation, qualification, country of origin and the specific job offer. IROP Germany helps to structure the process and prepare everyone involved for the necessary steps.
Regulated and non-regulated professions
In regulated professions – for example many healthcare occupations – state recognition or a professional licence is generally required to practise. Non-regulated professions follow different assessment paths. The binding evaluation is carried out by the responsible recognition bodies.
The fast-track skilled worker procedure
Under certain conditions, the future employer can, with power of attorney from the professional, initiate a fast-track skilled worker procedure at the responsible immigration authority. This coordinates, among other things, recognition, the approval of the Federal Employment Agency and a preliminary approval. The procedure is subject to fees and guarantees neither recognition nor a visa.

Our role
We support with checklists, completeness checks, communication and process oversight. We do not replace legal advice, official decisions or the formal recognition itself. For complex legal questions, specialised legal advice should be involved.
Official sources of information
For binding information, the responsible recognition bodies, immigration authorities, German missions abroad, the Federal Employment Agency as well as the official portals „Make it in Germany“ and „Recognition in Germany“ are authoritative.
